Frequently Asked Questions
Starting therapy can feel like stepping into unfamiliar terrain. Here are answers to the questions we hear most — so you can take that first step with confidence.
Psychotherapy is a regulated profession in Ontario. Registered Psychotherapists (RPs) are trained to assess and treat mental health conditions using evidence-based approaches. Counselling is a broader, less regulated term.
If you’re asking that question, therapy is probably worth exploring. Therapy isn’t just for crisis moments — it’s for anyone who wants to understand themselves better, work through patterns that aren’t serving them, or simply grow.

Absolutely. With over a decade of experience in ABA and IBI settings — alongside individuals with autism, ADHD, and learning differences, and their families — neurodivergent-affirming care is a core part of our practice.
